Where you been? Yes we need large cards for all those little extras! You may want to consider doing an ext partition on the card in order to push apps on the sd! Welcome to more pics and stuff!
When the Droid X first came out last summer, it had a stock 16gb card. Then a few months ago, they changed that to a stock 2gb. The OP probably bought one of the newer versions that came with a 2gb card.
I've got a 32gb card in my Droid Pro. I never even used the 2gb card it came with because that's pretty much useless for me.
I have a 32GB in my Droid X, mostly for music. My only tip is that there are a lot of fake cards out there...if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Looks like you already bought one, so if you have any question to whether it might be fake or not, format it, then fill the whole thing with data to verify it is in fact the correct capacity.
Yes, got this Droid X from Verizon, and was dismayed when I started loading-up with MP3's and about 45 songs into the load I got the "out of space" error message...checked the storage and was dismayed again when I saw the on-board was around 8g and the sd card was 2g....thanks for the replies and advice, folks! I'll be looking for a 32g in another couple of weeks, I guess...
