anybody have any ideas on what kind of apps they want made?

Would love a really good shopping list program that has a price book attached to it. There are a few shopping lists out there but nothing that fully meets all my needs for it.

-- Syncing List between Multiple Phones (ok not necessary but would be super nice)
-- Shopping List
-----Item
-----Quantity
-----Price
-----Unit (LB, Piece, Bag, etc. I can come up with more if you do this)
-----Store (tie in with GPS would be great)
-----Barcode Scanner Information would be nice. But not a must have
-----Check List so you can mark off what you picked up.
--Price Book
-----Item
-----Quantity
-----Price
-----Unit (LB, Piece, Bag, etc.)
-----Store
-----Barcode Scanner Information would be nice. But not a must have
-----Date of Purchase

Linking it so you could hit one button and it moves it from the Shopping List to the Pricebook would be wonderful, or even if it auto saves it to the pricebook.

Even if the pricebook only showed the highest & lowest prices.

I would like to see an app that allows me to communicate with with teamspak servers, so that if im on a computer that does not have it installed i can still talk to them through the phone.

How's about true handsfree dialing using a Bluetooth headset like on all my other phones?

Press the button on headset, phone says (in headset) "Say a command", etc. And maybe even play the ringers and notifications through the bt headset while connected as well?

If that was possible, someone would have done it already...

How about a tip calculator that has all the functionality this one has: Dinner Itemizer v1.0.6 Application for Android | Finance but in a more usable package for the Droid.

Would love a good trumpet app. I'm a trumpet player, and have played around with a couple of iPhone trumpet apps on my sisters phone. They have a few good ones, but they could be made better. For example, it could create a tone when you blow into it. (I'm pretty sure this is possible because in the Steamy Window, or iSteam apps when you blow into the microphone you can steam the window back up) Perhaps change octaves by blowing harder or softer. Or changing octaves by tilting the phone up or down as you are blowing into it.

I would love an app to lock the screen while on a call. I have screen suite but i still sometimes hang up or mute calls by bumping phone with my cheek.

I want a good baseball game scores, standings, and stats app. I have yet to find one with a nice usable interface, that uses minimal resources, with clean, well done text and graphics.

+1 for the baseball app. Configurable to keep track of my fantasy baseball team would be great and is not represented in the market, that I know of.

Also, what about an app that allows you to EASILY send an MMS picture message with an attached sound file. Right now, have to use Handcent, choose to send a "slideshow" and then it only allows you to send an MP3 from out of the ringtone folder. Seems ridiculous that I can't send a picture & simply attach a WAV file from any folder I browse to. (My ancient windows mobile could do that!)

there are the apps that you can store your barcodes for stores on but none will let you have a widget of one of your barcodes. i would love to be able to make a widget of one of those cards.

Be careful what you ask for...

Thanks for being so responsive JasonB. I am looking for three apps. The first would be a better way to search the bloody App Market. My other app ideas may already exist, but I have no way to find them.

I also desire a good podcast player. What ever the default player is, it won't let me fast forward or rewind and it closes (and loses my spot) if a call comes in.

My third request is an app that turns the Droid into "night mode" so that I don't burn my retinas with the blinding white that is default for the browser, SMS and email.

That is all I ask for.

Thanks for your willingness to develop and listen to ideas.

I can't promise anything yet. I am still at the very beginning here with learning java and Android. I will look into any ideas that I am given, but it may be a while.

I want a app that lets me input my Grocery list via a pc that will sync with my droid. Then uses GPS to locate me and all the grocery stores around me. Then it would tell me what store has xyz items the cheapest based on my list. So I would know to go to one store some items, and another store for others.
