Anyone else getting Random Reboots

I've been having 2-3 or maybe more reboots a day. Could be more because I have checked all the time as it sits on my desk. I have made it a habit to check settings>about phone>battery and check its "awake time" when pick it up after a hiatus and if it looks suspiciously low, I know its rebooted.

I am using stock, beyond my 14 day trial and do not use any other home screen apps. Not to mention super frustrated at the prospect of chunking out time and hassling it up with VZW reps over this....but there may not be any other choice.

Anybody know if they are doling out refurbs in cases like this yet or not?

glennj have you done a Factory Data Reset? If you have and it's still doing this take it to Verizon and get a replacement. Thats what they will do first if you bring it in.

If you haven't done that then try that and see if that helps.

Makes sense......thanks, Hook. I am on the verge of giving that a shot, actually, and we'll see what it does.

I did the reset and when it didn't work I swapped it out. I was inside 14 days and got a new phone. While they say you'll get a refurb after 14 days, they may not have them to swap out yet and you might get a new one.

Ive had my TB for 6 days now and I've had about 9 resets (that I have noticed anyways). Took it to the Verizon store today and they said that removing the my Verizon app might help fix it. I'm giving it a rigorous test today to see if it helped.
If you want some bloatware off then maybe try to get them to remove it or it might even help... We'll have to see.

FYI,

I just went through the whole process of battling Verizon with this issue and ended up getting a replacement phone shipped to me. The tech rep. I spoke to explained that my replacement Thunderbolt would NOT have the latest software update installed on it, to avoid this issue. He was wrong. I'm at work, using my replacement Thunderbolt, and it has already rebooted 3 times within the last 4 hours. After calling Verizon again, a different tech rep. explained that I was misinformed, and that any replacement Thunderbolts they send out will have the latest software revision.

Sounds like some Thunderbolts aren't experiencing this problem, while others are. Their solution was to keep replacing the phone until I got one that was compatible with the update.

My advice: Don't bother going through Verizon to get your phone replaced. Just wait for the next software update that HTC is working on, unless you want to trade in for a different make/model phone.
