Anyone going from dolphin to mozilla?

I use Mozilla at home. If it is good, I will. Is Google Chrome out? I would think that a Droid would work well with Chome.

The default browser on all androids is basically a mobile version of Google Chrome. I'm not sure where I found out about this but I am pretty sure it's accurate.

I really don't need banner ads eating up my data plan.

your data plan is "unlimited" Right?

Of course. But that doesn't exclude the possibility of 'soft' caps or Verizon deciding to change the terms of 'unlimited' data plans.
Not to mention the effect that animated image and flash ads have on page load times when you are using a browser that tries to act like a full desktop browser (especially once we get Flash 10 on the Droid).

as soon as firefox is out i am gonna use it theres no way they will put out a product that isnt worth anything. i believe it will be the best and its gonna be hard to beat it if they do it right

i do every thing i can on Firefox so to have it on my phone is going to be a must lol cant wait and hope for the best!

It's suprising that Chrome isn't the default for android, considering its Dev...

Yes, I'll look at Fennec when out, hoping it doesn't eat memory.

I may have to try XScope too ...

I used Dolphin on the G1, hearing that it was supposed to be amazing. However I've had nothing but problems with it. I did like the idea of having tabbed web browsing on my phone though.

I love Firefox, it's far more stable than IE.

Dolphin is good for what it is, but I don't see it being able to compete with Fennec. Not when Firefox has such a huge fan base.

I think the only thing that would keep most people on Dolphin would be the pinch zoom.

So Fennec is not going to have pinch zoom then? I love that feature and Dolphin gets a big thumbs up from me since the last update. Only thing I don't like is you can't organize your bookmarks at all.

I should have been more specific: I don't know if Fennec will support pinch zoom. If it does, bam, Dolphin bye-bye. But in the event it doesn't, then people might be wary to move over, if they have Dolphin for pinch zoom.

Sorry :P

I am completely happy with the browser pulled from the Milestone (pinch and zoom), but I will certainly give Fennec a try when it is released. The ads on Dolphin automatically make that a no go for me. I don't care if it is 50% faster, I don't want flashing ads in my browser.

-_-

I wish people would actually try XScope

I've not heard one complaint. It's got everything Dolphin has without the ugly homepage or the ads.

AND AN AMAZING video downloader - try it at your favorite site ... or naughty site lol
