Anyone have the issue of text messages spamming people?

I get a lot of people telling me when I text them it usually sends them a double message. It doesn't happen every text but it happens quite frequently.

There are also times where it can send them the same message up to five times!

What I've tried to do is restart my phone after someone complains about it to see if it helps, it really doesn't but I can't think of anything else to do...

I guess what I'm asking is if anyone else has the same problem and what they think/know helps... if they even have a solution.

Oh and by the way I'm pretty sure it was doing this before the update.

Mine did the same thing before the update...not anymore though. Never figured out why

happened to me at least 3 different times today... I would also get spammed quite a bit from other friends on verizon when they would hit me up on my iPhone however, not any other providers.

i use handcent and never had a problem with double messages, or messages not being sent.

I think its actually a bug with in the CDMA system... becuase i've had this issue a couple times from alltel, AND verizon (not with my droid recently though)

I'm having this issue as well... both with sending and receiving I occasionally get multiples. I believe it's a Verizon issue not Droid specific.... I could be wrong tho...

I get the same.. I was txting with and iPhone user last night and she complained of getting numerous of the same messages. I however, got the same from her as well. Crap cell services gotta love it. I ignore it now, blah.

I use Handcent too, but even with the stock one it would spam messages.

I hope it is Verizons problem lol. And they get it fixed

usually these types of things are a network issue, not a software/hardware issue. Even when i was on AT&T i would receive doubles and a couple times send doubles of the same text.

i receive double of the same text from Sprint especially.
