Help! I attempted to upgrade to the 10/5 but the 'about phone' caused settings to crash. Long story short, I lost my apps, and reinstalled the 10/2 cm 10 build, but now my google play store keeps crashing as soon as I open it. tried reflashing the GApps but it still does it! What is wrong?! All my apps are gone and irretrievable

edit. I cleared the app's data and it loads up again, but when I try to download anything it crashes again

edit again. I uninstalled updates and reloaded and now it works again. Sorry for the public display of problem solving lol I was freaking out for a second

That's interesting I had the same problem when I flashed 10/5, the phone process stopping and not being able to get data or anything. I just wiped and reflashed and its working great so far.

Cm 10 is cyanogenmod don't know it aokp is a different build

Has anyone found a workaround for sending/receiving MMS? Mine just says sending/downloading forever

Edit. Guess go works kinda weird to me why third party apps fix stuff

I really think Safestrap hates me!
I'm used to Bootstrap and tried an older SS a while back and even though I followed instructions,something goes wrong.
Found a link and after doing some button pushing, I downloaded
STOCK-cm-10-20121005-UNOFFICIAL-targa.zip
gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip

And BionicSafestrap-ICS-2.11.apk
And once again, had this open to walk me through the steps

Was able to make a backup, etc..but when I tried to flash CM 10 it failed.
Ideas?

You were using install zip not apply zip? What failed? Did it finish installing and not boot or did it fail to install?

After I toggled over to safe mode, I selected install zip from SD card.
It started and then just said install failed. I have the Rom on my SD/ext.

Hmm. I'm far from an expert but I have never had something fail to install, bit I have had ROMs not boot after installing. Sorry I can't be more help hopefully someone more knowledgeable can come along!

Could be. I'm not even sure if if I grabbed the right one to be honest..a few different file sizes..
