O/P uninstall Lookout and your Task Killer - Reboot your device and then give Handcent a shot...whether it works or not the Task Killer should not be reinstalled - hopefully it solves the problems though

Thanks very much. I just uninstalled advanced task killer and lookout. Reinstalled handcent so I'll check it out and let you know.

So far so good. No force close errors so uninstalling those apps looks like it worked.
