Apple to 'ban iPhone gig filming' THIS IS WHY ANDROID IS THE BEST

The only way that I could see this being detrimental to the artists is if they aren't putting on a good show in the first place. If you put on a good show and I see a clip of it online, guess what, its probably going to motivate me to get tickets so I can see the show in person.

EXACTLY. i have always said this.
plus, think about the actual video. it's more than likely a minute long clip on an 8 megapixel camera, being taken by some tipsy person, hundreds of yards away from the performance. i doubt there are people making money off of these things.
so you can shell out some big bucks to go to the concert, watch the musician but as soon as you take an image for a souvenir it becomes problematic. big deal, man.
i'm starting to define my feelings for technology as,
love it one day, hate it the next.

Don't they realize that people filming their shows, or even a song, or even 30 seconds of a song and uploading it to facebook or youtube is FREE PUBLICITY, why would you want to throw that away. Music companoes, or whatever, are so stupid these days
