apply themes

can someone please explain how to apply downloaded themes to GDE? i downloaded the theme already but i have no idea how to use it. Also if anyone can help, how do u set GDE to be your default home app? it keeps switchin back to the original whenever it feels like it. thanks again

theme change;
hit menu, back to control panel, personalize appearance then change the graphical theme.
To keep hit home and it should ask if you want it as default.
