Archos 70 Internet Tablet Ordered!!!!!11!!11eleven!!

Props go to www.droidpad.com for getting it out, and when archos shipped a few dayd late, they sent a netbook sleeve which was useless kinda, and a micro hdmi connector which will be very useful, for free.

Update: i have successfully tethered my archos tablet with my Droid 2global phone. I havent been able to test data yet (gf lives in an area with zero signal from anyone, using the network extender), but according to my archos and my droid 2global, i had a successful connection. Archos's firmware has a tethering menu specific to phones, usb or bluetooth.

Still havent even been able to temproot.

Still looking though.

Found a google market fix that shows all market apps.

1. Market hack Download
http://code.google.com/p/archos-apps-installer/downloads/list
2. Install and run the gapps hack (Choose v5 final installer.apk)
3. Choose core apps only (what i did, you can download everything else from Market)
4. Reboot
5. Setup your Google account

You now have access to google market, but its only partial access. For full access continue reading.

6. Open Market (to test do a search for copilot, titanium backup, adw.launcher, and none of them should show up).
7. Go to your android settings page
8. Manage Applications/Running tab
9. Go to Market, choose "force stop", then "clear cache"
10. Go to Google Services, choose "clear data", then "force stop"
11. Try to run market, you will get an error, no worries: Reboot
12. Everything works now!
Test: do a search for adw.launcher, copilot, titanium backup.
