Are you still happy with your Thunderbolt?

the t-bolt is the biggest piece of electronics crap that i've ever bought...i am much happier with my razr,ease of use and functionality are 10x better and so far it has zero known defects (compared to an endless list of flaws and defects on the tbolt).

I will bet every one of you that my razr gets jellybean before your blunderbolt gets ics.........htc sucks!

I guess I got lucky, I'm still on the same TB that I was when I bought it last March. Running ICS 4.0.4 I've never loved my phone more.

Does anyone have issues with their TB randomly shutting off, with a battery pull serving as the only way to get it to reboot? My wife has had her TB since April 2011, and this has been a pretty frequent occurrence during the past month. The device is not rooted, and she only downloads reputable apps. Thoughts? Fortunately, her upgrade is in a couple months, and I'm currently waiting to hear back from Verizon about getting an early upgrade.

Not exactly the same exp as yours but it felt somewhere similar and all my apps were from the Market too.
I'm not saying it's a bad app that is deviant but it's something to chew on.

Interesting. Do you recall any of the apps? To be honest, most of her stuff is mainstream social media and shopping apps. I might look through and see if there is anything that catches my eye as unusual or out of place. This might be our last HTC device because she had nothing but issues with her HTC Eris. They are great for the first few months, but they are too quick to fall behind.

Thunderbolt Infatuation

There are a lot of choices out there as everybody knows. From time to time, I take a peek at what's new to see if there's anything worth making the leap. My hubbie and I vowed to stay on the leading edge of technology where gadgets are concerned. Neither of us want to be the old person who can't figure out how to use the new gizmo his kid or grand kid gave him for his birthday if you know what I mean.

I currently own the following Android and Apple products: HTC Thunderbolt, HTC EVO 4G, iPad (original), iPhone 4S (Verizon 4G LTE) and I have a corporate iPhone 4G (AT&T) which really stinks speed wise compared to Verizon's 4G LTE Network.

With that said, I have to say the Thunderbolt has been one of the most robust designs with one of the best screens available. I know there have been a multitude of people out there who have had nothing but problems with them. I'm bummed for them because the phone itself, when it works like it's supposed to, is a killer phone.

I've had mine since October last year and in 2 days I'll reach my first anniversary with this phone. I like it so much that I've spent time repairing it twice and it was well worth the time invested to breathe new life back into it.

Despite my interest in the Samsung Galaxy Sx line of phones, since I'm not a developer and I think HTC did a fine job with the UI of the stock T-Bolt, I don't have a strong urge to purchase one of those. It would be neat to tinker with for a day or two but the desire for me isn't strong enough to go buy one just to say I had one. The iPhone 5 looks interesting enough to pick up but the changes they made mechanically limit one of the major features I have to have - to be able to plug it into an iPhone Cradle in the center console of my BMW. BMW doesn't make iPhone 5 Cradles (yet) but when they come out with one, I might have to add the iPhone 5 to my list.

I can browse at 4G speeds while talking on speaker. I can't ask for more.
Maps and all my apps work great.
Great photos and video, using Rezound battery life is good.
Got the big battery for special occasions. I see this this fone lasting for a long time.
Good luck finding what you think could be better.

Not happy with my Thunderbolt. Too many problems.

I've never really liked my Thunderbolt, with the exception of super fast LTE, but that fun has worn off.

The battery sucks. I have the extended battery and even that will not last the whole day.

My LTE cuts in and out sometimes.

Just recently my screens digitizer is acting up. I can't touch an area near the top of the phone and get a response. Also, If I touch the phone on the sides it will sometimes register a touch on the screen.

I hate this phone... My original droid (used everyday as my clock and alarm clock in the morning) still works like day one. My next phone will probably be a Motorola based on the experience with the original Droid.

I want to buy my next phone at full price so I can keep my Unlimited Data. I'm also looking into switching carriers, because of this unlimited data situation.

So no I'm not happy with my Thunderbolt!

I went to the SGS3 and couldn't be happier to leave the bolt. The S3 doesn't have signal problems, battery life is great, and its blazing fast. I wanted the nexus but I'm glad I got the S3.
