Ok I had an iPhone 4 and did a stupid move and traded for a tb on craigslist. I had insurance on the iPhone for 10.99/month. put the Tb on the line and insurance transferred over to the Android insurance which is 6.99/month. I got ripped off because the phone has water damage. After 2 Weeks I tried to file a claim since insurance was still active and they said an adjuster will contact me within 24 hours. I thought insurance is for the line and not just the specific device. Do they covered used phones?

No. Depending on how much research they do they will probably deny the claim

I thought insurance covered any activated phone currently on the line

Unfortunately not. It's a safeguard against insurance fraud. Insurance has to be put on a phone within a certain time from being activated the first time. If it just protected the line what would stop people from collecting water damaged phones, filing an insurance claim and reselling the phones for a profit?

My insurance never came off the line. I've still been paying.

That's just a ghost in the machine. Once they do some research and discover that it was activated on one account, removed and then placed on another account asurion should reject the claim.

Do you want to buy a tbolt? I've got one rooted, decent condition, no water damage and a brand new 16 gb card. I'll even send detailed pix.

I mean you were looking to spend $100 on a refurb, I can at least offer one that has no preexisting conditions

For $100?
