AT&T Nexus 6 on Verizon without a phone with a nano sim

@grenefroggie

The way around carrier bloat is to set up your phone first via wifi then put in your carrier sim. Bloatware is only installed during set up so if your carrier sim is in during set up it will install carrier apps and ringtones.

Makes sense. Since my N7, I use Wug's toolkit. It essentially does the same thing. As I have grown out of flashing things manually, I like the ease of using the toolkit.

I am still running a ROM using 4.4.4. I am just waiting on another ROM that catches my fancy to upgrade to 5.0.x.
