AT&T stops selling iPhones in NYC...

Pretty hilarious. Seems like something a small-time operation would be doing, not one of the biggest telecom companies in the country.

To backnblake y do it matter if its the 3rd one mayb he has a life n didn't want to search for it

RIGHT.....alot of times you don't have the "time" to do an hour of searching for something in particular.

Wait a minute? Let me do a search before i "Post" this......hhhmmmm it kind of answers the question.....kind of....but not all the way. Let me read for another hour .....NOT........OK.....should i go ahead and leave this "new" thread?? Maybe not.....wouldn't want to get badgered by the people with to much time on their hand.

Anyway.....personally...i do use the search feature....and yes i do get the answer most of the time but if i want a very specific answer to a very specific question I would post a new thread on a topic that is only partially covered. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I'm having a difficult time believing this. Somehow or another I think Apple would have a say on all this.

I saw that as well, I am not sure what to think of this. Except to laugh at AT&t if this is true.

You can still walk into a store and buy an iPhone in NYC. I heard it was a online fraud thing going on so they haulted sales, ONLINE.

You can buy the iPhone at AT&T B&M stores, or you can buy the iPhone online from Apple.com. You just can't buy the iPhone from the AT&T website. No big deal.

I don't see why everyone thinks this is news worthy. The iPhone is still a great device. It bridged a huge gap between smartphones and the telecom providers. Before the iPhone we were stuck with choices such as Palm, Blackberry, Microsoft, and while they were OK smartphones, they were still under the control of the telecom provider.

With the iPhone it helped make way for the telecom industry to step aside and let the phone be something more. The iPhone did help pave the way for Google to bring us the Droid. While its unfortunate, that everyone wants to piss on the iPhone... I still think it is quite a remarkable device and I hope that someday soon the iPhone will be able to break free of the AT&T agreement and we will see alternative carriers with the iPhone.
