I went out in country this weekend with my brother...we get out in his back pasture he whips out his brand new I-Phone 3gs trys to call his wife....nothing.
Whip out the Droid... full bars and full 3G service :icon_ banana:

But you all seem to forget.......when he/she does have service they can surf and talk on the phone at the same time. lol

ONLY if they have 3G service and I am not convinced ATT really has that as it has never been seen in the wild....kinda lika a giant squid.

ATT has 3g coverage in most big cities. And everywhere else if you find the spot with strong 3g you are going to have to be real still to use the apps or make a call if not gone. The good thing for ipphone customers, is in a situation where 3g is down or not there is the can just manually switch to edge to make calls and send texts and data. THe problem is that Att is getting 100+ a month for a phone using 3g coverage, and you use 3g coverage maybe 20% of the time if you can find it. SO ATT is making out good.

I wish Verizon would come out with some kind of commercial that would say something smartass about you can only talk and text at the same time when you have service!
