Auto-rotate has decided to stop working

I had a similar situation, in that my phone would get stuck in landscape mode, until I rebooted. I later noticed that if I rotated it a full 180 degrees, it would flip to landscape (in the opposite direction), then it would start working again.

Not ideal, but a quicker fix than a reboot.

Didnt work for me. Still wont auto rotate. Also, seems to me that my 3g isnt as good or wifi as my htc incredible was. Kind of sad that a phone 4 years older is in my opinion a better phone.

The Incredible was released on 4/29/ 2010. It's not even 25 months old! (Still a valid point, but not 4 years)

This may be a good fix. it worked for me. theres an app called "smart rotate" in play it allows you to reset defalt settings for each app on your device. As well as a button "auto rotate for all" . Any new apps will still be in portrait until you set them. But its as close as iv gotten to the way it was when i got it
