Available Memory / RAM Question

Is there a way to increase the amount of RAM the system has available? It seems it partions internal memory for storage and for usage if I'm not mistaken? Since I store most of my apps on the SD card, I was wondering if I could increase the amount of RAM for running programs on my OG Droid.

Afraid not. RAM and storage memory are physically different kinds of chips.

If you're really concerned about memory and you're rooted you can install AutoKiller from the market. Instead of just killing apps and stepping on the system's toes it changes the variables android uses to manage memory.
