So what if I wanted to move to the stock rom with Moto Blur 3 which I just downloaded. I am guessing I have to sbf back to stock then flash that rom?

Is there anything wrong with Blur v3?

Sometimes if you do a factory restore/data wipe after putting the original sbf in it'll put the normal boot logo back. So you can try to boot into recovery and try that.
