Basic file system question

Completely new to Droid OS. I reviewed the FAQ but found nothing on the file system. I have a photo I downloaded from my Flickr acct that I would like to use for Wallpaper. I can't figure out how to get the photo into the Gallery so I can use it. Is there a way to move files around, add photo to Gallery, etc.

I found a way to copy the photo to the proper directory by connecting the phone to a PC and using Windows Explorer. But this must be doable from within the phone isn't it?

Do you have a file manager (Androzip or Astro)? Try rebooting your phone first and then opening your gallery. The picture should be in your Downloads folder.

If you downloaded the photo onto your SD card it should show up in the Gallery. Unless the Gallery is blocked from scanning the folder you've downloaded it to.

Right. I've had to reboot for it to show up like a handful of times. Not sure if its just me though.
