Battery Drain and Phone Freezing

I have had my Droid Bionic for over a year now. I didn't really have any major issues until after the last update. My battery now drains constantly, I have uninstalled most of my apps and I don't know what else to do. Also anytime I try and do anything on my phone I get a message the the app isn't responding and then my phone locks up. On many occasions I have had to reboot my phone. After reading through a thread I installed the Gsam battery monitor app and found out that the Kernel is using about 56% of my battery and I currently have 46% left. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me out?

I think the only thing left is to do a factory reset, sometimes when upgrading the whole OS while retaining data, things to get a little screwy. Try a factory reset, this should fix those issues.

You could give clearing the cache first. Boot into recovery like in the video and select the Wipe Cache Partition option. Press Power to start and Power again when done to reboot.
