How slow should the battery drain?

I think Background data is like signing into Facebook, Skype, Messengers, and then closing them but they are stil open and connected to the services, so you get notifications and messages.
And the background is black for me because I installed Purity (Theory) ROM and then got the Zoom theme (But i'm assuming they're all dark).

recently purchased extended battery and made a huge difference!.....well worth the extra money and size difference..
