Battery Life Discussion Thread

NICE. IM still getting about 12-14 hours on a charge. I have the snapdragon battery guru app. Im def thinking about getting the Mugen 2750 mah battery since it isnt any thicker than oem and it packs a little bit more juice. It seems that most people are getting around 15-20+ hours on battery.... i wonder if its the way I use mine or if mine is defective.

Yes, I did use my phone, it was over a weekend when I didn't use it a lot but I did make some minor adjustments and never turned it off. I realize how unrealistic this will seem. I assure you I did not turn off GPS or WiFi or most of the other settings.

I attribute most of my battery life to 2 things. I don't have any apps doing anything unless I ask them to. Part of that was through manual settings and part of it was through configuration of Battery Guru. The other thing is I only have one active widget, whether. But as I have said before, this is pretty extreme and I really didn't use the phone very much over 2 days. But I also said I didn't turn anything off.

I understand all that but if I were to barely use it with everything on there is no way I would get that kind if life even if I barely used it. I have battery guru but you can't really configure it much. I set the apps to only update when I open them but still hasn't seemed to help that much with my battery.

I don't know what you guys are used to (I'm coming from a Droid3 + an extended battery at 1930mAh), but for my usage this battery is fantastic. I don't think I could run it down in a day if I tried. The thing uses basically nothing on idle, leave it on overnight and off the charger and in the morning it's still within ~5% of what it was. On moderate usage, maybe 2-3 hours of screen time per day, it'll be just starting to die by the end of the second day. And even if I forget to plug it in at night, it charges in like half an hour in the morning. It'll go from 40% to 90% in the time it takes me to shower.

Are you all coming from extended battery Note 2's or something? Because I couldn't be happier with this.

Battery is at 90% at the moment...... 2 HOurs and 22 Min off charger. Voice calls is 39% bc I talked for 33 minutes, screen has used 31% and its been on for 23 minutes.....maps has used 8%, CPU Total is 1 min 29s and Stay away for maps is 11m 47s.....With this being said...the only settings I have on is Mobile Data, Sync, Power Saving, Screen Rotation and Sound............Does this seem pretty average to yall or do you think my battery sucks??? I think it should be better.

Thought I was getting better than usual battery life today, so I decided to do some investigation. I'm sitting at 85% after 9 hours unplugged with light usage - some texting, facebook, and web browsing throughout the day. I found out that Snapdragon Battery Guru somehow got closed overnight and hasn't been running today. Interesting.

I know these discussions have centered around 'milers', those getting the best life out of their battery by cutting usage, but has anyone checked out the slim extended capacity batteries on Ebay that fit behind the stock cover? One seller has a 3360mah battery for $37.98. Anyone try one? I'd feel a lot better if they were from a known manufacturer.
