Battery life??

Price went up on the charger and the battery, usually it's the opposite.. In paid 21 for the oem battery and 3.85 for the charger.. I love having the spare around. I hardly charger at all now just at night, no more bump charging during the day. I'm sure it will save my charging port as well.

I put my S3 threw some heavier usage today. Watching youtube videos, fair amount of web browsing, and a lot of video recording. Still got over 13 hours out of it. Forgot to take a screeen shot tho :/

I've been having some serious issues with my battery. I'm lucky if I get more than 8 hours out of a charge, and I'm not really using the phone that much. Its mostly sitting idle, with the occasional text message or pop into a game such as Words With Friends. This is even with battery saving mode on, the screen brightness set super low, and JuiceDefender Pro running. It almost seems to drain faster when in idle, and less when actually using the phone. Here are some screenshots that should help diagnose the problem. I'm considering doing a factory reset, but from what I hear, that may not fix the issue. I'm also considering taking the phone back to the AT&T store to see what they can do, but I'm afraid all they will do is a factory reset. Maybe they'll replace the battery, but it seems to be more of a software issue than a problem with the battery itself. Please help! This is driving me crazy!View attachment 56822View attachment 56823View attachment 56824View attachment 56825View attachment 56826

This happened to me after awhile too. I was getting 25+ hours the first few days of owning my GS3, then seriously out of nowhere I woke up one morning and my charge was similar to yours all day...or for the next few hours at least.

All I did was uncheck the first 2 of the 3 GPS options and that seemed to help. Same usage, no real battery saving stuff except for using Lux autobrightness. Not everyone gets results from changing the GPS though. So there's definitely something funky going on, but even with others, it seems to just sort of work itself out. A mystery indeed...

Androidpolice has stated this issue is probably due to mah power being low 2100 mah will not cut it for dual core and 4g lte phone.

Wait for droid razr hd maxx or force close app from setting.

Freese the app aka disable them on setting. App your not using

If not backup your apps to sd card and move to pc and send email important documents to dropbox or gmail.

Then fully charge your phone and then factory reset and clear cache on recovery mode

Charge it for 2 hours then turn it on and see if ya battery improve.

This why I love motorola and not sammy who I had battery issue on s1. My friend had issue on battery on galaxy s2 I guess they wont learn from moto.

Moto isnt all that great. My X2 wouldnt ever last me a full day. And my S3 has lasted over a day multiple times.

Well that you my original droid on heavy consumption last 7-9 hrs and 13 hrs to 16 hrs on moderate.

So...

Like I said, had this same issue. GPS thing fixed it I guess. But ever since that OTA came out, which I wasn't even able to download, my phone was acting odd. Nothing terrible, just a noticeable change. But I ended up calling in for a replacement because apparently the OTA issue was a problem with the phone, so if I ever wanted Jellybean...

Anyways, got the new phone yesterday, have been testing it out, pretty heavy usage today re-setting it up.....80% after 6 1/2 hours. Standby 37%, Screen 28%. That's pretty damn good. Same usage on my last one would've been maybe 40-50%. So I guess it really is a problem with the phone itself, maybe it can't properly take power from the battery. But there is a definite difference, and I'm already rooted with everything restored. So we'll see, thought I'd share this though...

Would like to ask if this is normal usage of the battery? I'm using the phone normally ( wi fi browsing, little mobile data, little camera, little playing 2d games), but somewhere i read that cell usage shouldn't be on the first place of the battery usage so i would like to ask is this normal. Must say that i am new to the android and i came from iphone 4s where i get about 7 full hours of as you like to say it here display usage :)
Thanks
P.S. Didn't mentioned that i have enabled Power Saving settings.

Do u have a task killer and cache cleaner?

I just spent 45 minutes with the screen on, re-organizing widgets, installing/uninstalling applications and setting them up, made a few Tasker tasks...currently at 84%. Pretty damn good in my opinion.
