Battery

OK, go into smart actions and tap examples. Tap battery extender. Now long press the motion, and the turn off GPS. Select delete on both if those. You're good to go.. tap add rule.

Now, in your apps tray, tap on task manager, now select every single app in there. Add to auto kill. This will kill all of your unnecessary apps 2 mins after the screen times out.

This should greatly help you.

TRUST ME WHEN I SAY USE THE STOCK APPS!!!! Third party app killers and battery savers have been causing data connectivity issues with the razr and the maxx. Hope this helps?

I guess my main questions is would a battery saving app do anything better than what the Razr Maxx can do by adjusting it's own settings?

That's what I am trying to learn....what apps are for show and what apps are actually useful.

Also, this discussion would probably benefit from being.in the battery forum, so I'm going to move it there :) feel free to look around at some of the other threads in there. Tons of helpful stuff :)

Thank you, 94lt1!!! Great tip!

I always wondered about those 3rd party apps that make actual add to or create a problem. I suppose some apps, with all the technical data and graphs, can be use to those who understand them....and, some apps are just an extra mouth to feed.

The hard part it to figure out what you really need.

I haven't personally used it yet, I did just download it though. The reason for the low downloads, as one commenter posted, is probably because that people don't realize it takes about a week to get used to what you use the most.

A lot of people use Juice Defender also, I have never tried it myself.

Sorry about posting in Razr Maxx forum. I thought the Maxx being unique in that aspect, it would have been ok in the Razr Maxx forum. But, I suppose a battery is a battery!

And should you decide to try the third party apps, when you start having more data drops, just go into the play store and download "Motorola restore connection" and run it. This will clear up the issue.

Not a cure all, but it helps alot.

Another great tip! What is it? Like a disk scan?

No its a work around from moto, for it to work, you have to delete the third part app killers and battery savers... or you'll have to run it yet again.

Sorry shadez, not meaning to step on your toes here... its just I've gone down that road... its not fun :)
