Beautiful Widgets Weather: I wish it were true

Is it possible that another app we are all using or recently updated is causing this? I have heard of apps not playing nice together, but don't honestly know what they are capable of interfering with. I am stock and have never had BW be more than a couple of degrees off. Now it stuck at 95F. I noticed this last night. I did download "messaging widgets" yesterday. I hate to uninstall to find out if this fixes it if it isn't possibly the problem...just because I am lazy and don't really want to reset the skins.

In Toledo here and it stated that it was 86 degrees while it was in the 60's and 70's. I normally do not have any problems with it.

Mine is 22 degrees off today. I'm trying new ones as we speak. Anybody want to recommend an alternative to Beautiful Widgets?

I just tried one name United States Weather & Clock. Tried 2 others before that as well. All 3 had the temperature off by 20 degrees. It also had me located in Chagrin Falls when I'm actually closer to Aurora, OH. When I manually changed the Location in United States Weather the temperature dropped 20 degrees.

So it's got to be where these widgets are getting their information from why the weather is off so badly. I'm going to look at Beautiful Widgets and see if I can't manually set my location and if it works that way too.

Wunderground seems to have a fairly open API (just requires showing their logo and crediting them for the data API - XML - WunderWiki

For United States only, the National Weather Service also has an open API.

Google weather appears to have been stuck with the same current conditions for at least the last three days, making BW weather useless, which is too bad because I really love the live wallpaper weather.

Switched back to HTC Sense for now and a different wallpaper until Google fixes their feed or BW changes feeds.

Well at least we know its Google Weather, but I do agree the developer should so something in the interim until Google fixes the weather.

Goggle has some great innovation, but when will we start holding them to the same standard as other software companies? Why do we accept such terrible QA that they release software that breaks their weather forecast for example? And why do we accept that they leave software in beta for so long? Why do we not report them to Mossberg of WSJ and to consumer reports to get them to up their QA?

It also seems that Google gets weather from a couple of places or something. When I set my zip code for the weather it shows 104 in the weather widget (which it has shown for a couple of days and is the one BW shows). Then when I select my city in the widget, it brings up a large display of the city with all kinds of other info and the temperature is different (matches WeatherUnderground is closer to actual temp here). Maybe BW just needs to use the other Google weather data.

Because all those things you mentioned are free?;) Google's weather breaks it's not BW fault the temp is wrong.
