Best Buy Issues

Well, I'm crossing my fingers. My wife ordered a Droid from Amazon for 19.95 and a two year contract. They do have a customer service department for their phone and they say you can exchange in the first 30 days.

We will see.

Didn't think it was possible if I bought from a third party seller.

Not at all unless you're intended to use the seller's extended warranty. The base warranty comes from the manufacturer -- not the seller.

After the initial 30 days Verizon is responsible for replacing the phone. Dont worry about where you got it, VZW should have your back.

Thanks for the advice, sounds like VZW customer service is the way to go.

Erron, when you got your phone exchanged, did you do it through one of the Verizon stores? Didn't think it was possible if I bought from a third party seller.

+1. however, bring it back to the Verizon stores, don't waste your time to go to those Verizon kiosks that you see in the mall. They're worst than Bestbuy, imo.

Most best buy stores sell refurbs thats why they can sell it cheaper, and they cant deny you a replacement device at all. I know this because I'm a manager for a VZW store.

Best Buy sells refurbs as new? I kinda (highly) doubt that Mr/Ms vzw store manager, heh. One post here and it's to bad mouth the competition?

Still, I think getting 3 new Droids in two weeks and having problems with all three is suspicious. How can anyone person have issues with three (new) Droids in two weeks. All three must have been built by the same Foxconn employee who threw himself off the balcony the same afternoon.

its not bad mouthing when were all on the same team. best best, auth stores, corp stores and online are all the same. its VERIZON WIRELESS, not a bunch of random people. same with walmart, they cell what are called CPOS (Certified Pre Owned) otherwise known as Certified Like New, what you get when you replace your device with tech support. If you call customer care, and ask about the CPO program, they will tell you about it.

Walmart and Best buy buys these from VZW, and sells them at cheaper prices.

So prob what happened, is it was a bad batch that they ordered.
