Best Wine App?

What are the best wine apps for Android? I've found a few, but nothing that quite looks like I want it to yet.

The best of the bunch so far seems to be an app called "Swirl" on the market. Has a ways to go, but it seems to be evolving very quickly. Just wish it had a cellar, some ability to share, and looked a little better.

Anyone see anything better?

I'm sure the wines I prefer aren't going to be on the list. For example, the best red is Bob's Red by Kunde Winery in Sonoma.

Wine App

I am also looking for a wine app. I have tried both Wine Free and Swirl and have not found an app that does everything I want yet. It would be nice to have one where you can save or look up the wine label/bottle picture to the wines that you enter or scan in. I drink a large variety of wines so it is hard to remember which ones I liked or didn't like. Wine Free is the closest app I have found so far to what I am looking for. Just missing a few features.

I just noticed that Swirl has added "tagging" to remember wines that one likes, dislikes, etc.

I agree that they all seem to be missing some key features. Swirl seems to be evolving the most rapidly, and offers the best features set in my opinion. It needs to get polished up and offer more "cellar" features, some social aspects (sharing, etc.), and I would be very happy.

myWineCatalog .. good one to store all your wines and your wine ratings. You can also share it with anyone on your contact list. Doesn't have info about other wines, but certainly great app to store your own.

I like Dryncwine, which I believe is becoming popular. You can search using any parts of the wine info, like vineyard, vintage, style, etc. It gives the wine rating just like Wine Spectator does. It also provides comments that other users have made. You can select a wine after it is located, and you can add it to your" cellar," which is divided into 3 tabs: wine I want, wine I own, and wine I have tasted. You can rate those yourself, indicate where you tasted it, and include notes. It also has he capability of backing up your cellar to their database, but I haven't tried that yet. The app has a nice UI.

I have not found a way to your sort my cellar contents, though. So if I'm looking for a list of my favorite wines in my cellar, I have to scroll through. If you have a large list, it's kind of a pain. I'd say it's worth the $ but I am looking for a companion app that will manage a cellar better.

Holy crap, I never even thought about a wine app for these things! What.will they think of next? Im a big wine fan, what app would best to find out proffessional tastings of wines in the cheaper price range? I like bold reds and non sweet whites mostly

You'd need something besides Dryncwine for that. It won't search on general terms like "bold red cheap". But you can search on "cabernet savignon", stuff like that. I forgot to say it has a search tab that will recommend top wines or featured wines. You might need to scroll around a little bit to find exactly what you want.
