[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

Are old nightlies removed from the server? or are they just temporarily down. I wanted to go back to #7 but it's not found....

Here ya go CyanogenMod Mirror Network - Powered by TDRevolution

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums

I use this page, Idk if you have tried, but you can only download nightlies that show up in rom manager. If you try to click on older roms like 15 and under, you just get a page not found... So if i want to go back to 7 am i out of luck?

How do you make sure you're on the latest nightly? I installed via the all-in-one zip. I did the gapps and cam fix zips as well. I'm up to date in ROM manager, but when I choose "check for ROM updates" nothing happens. Also nothing shows up under "forkup" under download ROM.

Oh, and when I try to register for auto updates in cyanogenmod settings it always fails.. any advice?

Flash the droid x 2nd init recovery not the regular droid x recovery

Where do I get said recovery? Its not listed in ROM manager. Should it have installed with the proper recovery? I used the all in one flash method and it gave me cm recovery v2.5.0.7

Any answer to the missing tv screen on/off animation?

I also have this problem. They are both checked under settings
make sure windows animations is turned on and windows animation speed is set to normal in Spare Parts.

Also checked. Maybe once I get to current nightly ill be in the clear. I flashed your camera fix - it fixed YouTube but not built in video player. Also my camera button doesn't take pictures I have to Pres the on-screen button.

In other news, the auto brightness does not work. I have tried repeatedly to get it to work but no success.

Also, Bluetooth will not reconnect to a device I've used - I have to un and re-pair.

Last but not least, I've turned off ALL haptic feedback but when I'm on the phone and I pull the handset away from my face to see the current time, it vibrates violently. I hate it.

If you go to ROM Manager -> Flash Recovery, it will give you a choice.

At the top it'll say flash clockwork recovery then once you press that another menu will come up and then you scroll down to the 2nd init recovery not the x recovery

A few quick questions:

1. Are the nightlies supposed to show up in ROM Manager? If so, where?
2. Where do I get themes for CM, and how do I use them with the CM Theme Chooser?
3. Anyone know of a way to edit the carrier text on the lock screen and the notification shade? Also it'd be nice to have some other configuration options for the lock screen, like justification of the clock, etc.
4. Where should I make a theme request? I think this would make a great theme for ADW or LP: [video=youtube;0S6NMH4ry-4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S6NMH4ry-4]YouTube - ‪iida INFOBAR A01 - INTERFACE‬‏[/video]

1) the nightlies updates are in the ROM mananger. listed under "Check for ROM Updates" make sure you flashed BOTH clockworkmod recoverys for the droid x (2nd int is needed)
2)
[STICKY] [UPDATE 6-30-11] Theme Chooser Themes - Over 170 Themes! - New Format! - xda-developers
also some are on the market. you have to use HDPI and HDPI/MDPI formats. only MDPI formats will not work and youll bootloop
3) this is still the beta, i dont believe there are options for that yet
4) that video no longer work as the users youtube account is no longer.

1. Aha! I didn't know about the second recovery. Thanks!
2. Thanks!
3. Good to know it's at least being worked on.
4. Sorry about that. Here's an engadget link: KDDI announces Android-based INFOBAR A01 smartphone with glanceable iida UI -- Engadget

thats a pretty sick UI, do i think that will be an option for someone to do? most likely not, looks like a lot of work to be done

Agreed. But I think even just a theme that puts icons and widgets on tiles like that would be really sweet.
