to be honest, i dont know if they will get put into the official nightlies or not. I just noticed this fix on my d2g and he said RevNumbers put it in his unofficial builds for the the X, Droid2, and Droid2 Global. heres the link to the unofficial nightlies tho. They get all the same changes as the main tree in rom manager but the camera and torch fixes are built in so you dont have to flash another .zip

Actually battery life should be better. 13th Angel (A d2G dev) just found an error in one of the xmls that was causing the phone to not sleep properly and that was killing battery. Revnumbers has it in his unofficial nightlies now and it helps a ton. Ive been on it for like 3 hours on my d2g with moderate use and my battery is at like 85% still. so that issue seems to be fixed or at least a step in the right direction.

Would also like to know where we can find these unofficial nightlies or when will it be in released nightlies? I knew there had to be a problem when the phone was supposed to be sleeping. Glad they found it and it can't come soon enough.

Just flashed the official 58 this morning and had some 3g data problems. I'd love to see the 3g data/wifi issue finally worked out.

Funny, when I first bought a smartphone I never thought that I'd be flashing unofficial zips of an (un)official ROM!

sure can. i have no problems doing it. just wipe cache. no need to wipe data.

Oh my! Got the latest Rev nightly, look in cyanogen settings/statusbar tweaks....you can change the carrier text instantly. We'll see about battery life tomorrow. Only thing I was lacking was a way to change the carrier.

Awesome... I had been using Root Tools but I'm glad its built in. I am downloading it now. I have already downloaded and flashed the CM7 nightly today and watched Netflix, so I will have used a ton of data lol

Root Tools would NOT work no matter what I tried, this makes me happy. BTW, no reboot required to change text.

Anyone know how I can change the font on cm7? I use font changer it works but shows strange characters like it doesn't recognize the font. Ive also tried root tools and doesn't do anything.

Rev's nightly is nice. Definitely better than the one from rom manager. Its just the bugs that are addressed in this rom. Like torch n camera that make it so much better.
