[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for the Droid X

do you still need all the patches and all in one fix for revnumbers cyanogen GB?

No you should not. That is the advantage of them being unofficial nightlies, Rev can add in fixes faster than they do in the official ones. The only fix you could look into now is the 720p fix by droidxchat (the dev who ports MIUI for the X).

There is no official cm based off the gb kernel yet for this device, i believe.

Plus, revs Nightlies are the best!

ldopa is correct on both counts. No official yet but Revs are superb. Been running them for some time now.

So I can flash revs nightlies over any 605 ROM and vice versa? Flash other 605 roms over the Revs nightlies without having to sbf or do anything special?

Thanks

Yes sir provided you are on gb kernel you should be fine

But always do the normal wipes data, cache, dalvik

Just like clueless said you should be fine if you do your wipes. I have been flashing around with various .605 and .602 ROMs successfully without SBFing. Of course I always recommend you be ready to SBF just in case.

Quick question. What is the best way for me to get on to the newest GB kernel rev nightlies? I did an SBF to 2.3.340 Froyo and have been flashing the beta from the OP of this thread, and a couple of the nightlies, all working ok, but I want to be more up to date.

Thanks

Once sbf'd to froyo, get on the ota gb. Then bootstrap into recovery.
Wipe data, cache and dalvik.
Install revs latest nightly and gapps
Reboot

What Idopa said or if you're bored lol SBF to .602 then take or don't take .605 update

Proceed to CWM recovery do all wipes and flash ROM and gapps

So SBF to .602, [Insert root method here because I haven't been keeping up with X development], install CWM, flash recovery, reboot recovery, do all wipes and then install the latest rev nightly as normal?
