Is everything new coming out 4G? My hubby is interested in moving from his flip phone and I've not paid much attention to stuff with these phones to know what is good and what is not so good - I have an original Droid and don't plan to change any time soon, but he is not interested in 4G at higher prices...
Anyone willing to venture out on this one given the selection available?
If you have problems and want to take up on this deal. Make sure you have the original address of the link provided in the first post. Now when you want to get this deal and a rep says they can't do it and its still 199 for instance the droid 2 global, be sure that you recite to them the web address of the original add page its on and they have to honor it. Yeah its unlimited text, talk and data package for two years, but you still get the phone for about a hundred bucks. I did it because I had an extra line that I could use and will make that my main line after I activate it tomorrow and switch the numbers. The call and paying for the phone took less than ten minutes, but as long as it comes directly from the Verizon site that the OP first listed and its still up, they have to honor it, if your are a new customer and adding a line. Also you can't get a family share plan if you have an existing phone with them, but I plan to reduce my first line talk minutes and data package since it was a part of my initial phone. So yes it can be done and my new second droid 2 global will be here in the morning. And with me reducing my first line usage it will only cost ten dollars more than the family share plan. Hope this helps.

No, the two of you are safe. 4G may be the same price for a while, so don't make your decision based on that. If you have use for it and it's available in your area, you may want to check it out.
To answer the important question, 3G phones will still be coming out this year. The Droid 3, Droid Incredible 2, and Droid X 2 should all be out over the next several months.
