Bionic Cases, Skins, Nude?

my OG was nude for years - looks a bit beat up but it looks like a mans phone.
LOL! My sentiments exactly. Although mine looks more than a little beat up! That said though the screen looks great.

I've been informed by the Mrs. however that the Bionic will be getting a case of some sort since it will be going to her when [if] the new Prime comes out.

umm 7 a month for 2 years is 168, then u pay the 100 to replace it and that's 268. To buy the Bionic new you pay $587. Don't see how that's a scam ya its expensive but its still cheaper than a new phone.

Depends on when you destroy/lose the phone. First few months you will pay almost $600 to replace it. When the price gets down to a couple of hundred on Ebay, drop the insurance.

Had this 0D from day one with no protection.... no case.... no insurance. I don't recommend that approach for teenagers, but it serves me fine. Only blemish is a small mark where I hit my Scotch glass with it. That's $140.00+ saved to put towards my bionic.

Motorola DROID BIONIC Incipio Double Cover - Black from Verizon Wireless

I had the extreme displeasure of dropping my first Droid, the OG Droid, right on the upper right corner, completely disabling the power button and breaking the screen.
After that, I can't just run naked anymore... I'm not one of the guys that gets duped into the insurance - I mean, c'mon! Pay us $100 and get a REFURBISHED phone when yours breaks (and if you do the math, that $7 per month adds up to the rest of what you paid for the damn thing when it was brand-new!)

So, the Bionic Double Cover is perfect. Soft silicone sleeve inside the hard shell. It doesn't really add as much thickness as I first expected, certainly not as thick as my OG Droid with it's hard case, and didn't add much to the heft of the device either - and the best part (for me) is that this one slips right out of a pocket without pulling the pocket out with it.

I've got some real carbon-fiber in blue and black fibers that is going to look REAL nice when I get around to laying it on the outer shell... that will make mine stand out from the standard black... Doesn't add anything at all to the weight, and is going to actually be slicker than the hard shell already is.

Hey, does this case cover the green notification light near the right corner of the phone? If not, I'll get it. If so, then I'll get the Silicone case for it.

I'm using otterbox on my bionic. Usually just have a belt pack on my phones, but found otterbox on sale, and decided to get it for this phone.

A $100 deductible is a pretty good deal for a replacement phone that costs $600+

I just applied a DecalGirl skin over a Steinheil screen protector. I like it pretty well.... it's quite thin, which is what I wanted (I have a skin from them on my reader also). I like that the skin on the front covers the edges of the screen protector and the bevel, and smooths over the bevel nicely, since the screen protector only goes to the top edge of the bevel and I was worried it would rub/catch on things. The skin doesn't cover (as there is no way it could) the diagonal edge between front and back. I do kind of wish I had gone with a very dark skin for the front, as the medium blue in the one I got (Harbinger) is a little jarring, but I'm sure that's just because it's new.

An odd benefit to the skin is that it has cutouts for the buttons on the front, so I can find them without having to look, now.

Looking for a skin/protection with more gription than bare naked phone offers. I want to be able to place phone in dock with out removing anything

Pulling out the dock insert allows fire many cases to remain on...

I have the Otterbox Defender... honestly it's too big... but I look at my OG Droid and see how beat up it is (still functional of course) after a year of being naked.

Ironic how we go out and buy the slimmest phones just to slap a thick and bulky case on it.

Last week I finally received the Steinheil screen protector for my Bionic. I now have completed my Barely There setup for my phone. I am very happy with the combination of the Case-Mate Barely There case and Steinheil Ultra Crystal screen protector. It barely changes the native Bionic, but I have some degree of protection. Also, I am able to use the docks without any problems.:biggrin::biggrin:

That's just what I needed to hear. Didn't know their was an insert but it popped right out and now my phone fits perfect with my Verizon cover installed. The car adaptor doesn't have an insert but it has more room to start with so the phone will fit with the Verizon cover installed. Thank you Nyteravyn.

I have one of those "3 for $12" covers over the screen, but otherwise it's nude. I keep it in a holster so it's protected.
