anyone know about how long it takes from testing to the store shelves?
trying to make the question of the summer. bionic or X2(or possibly a diff. phone). not easy but the fact that they are being tested gave me hope.
I'm not sure what the average time is from testing to stores so maybe given the time of most phones will give a good indicator of when we might see the bionic.

Time from testing to stores is however long it takes to do it. I know that seems lame, but testing is to uncover "unknown" issues. If issues pop up, there's no telling how long it'll be.

thanks. i had a feeling that was the case. but wasnt sure if there was sort of an average time.
guess we sit and wait for updates. HOPEFULLY there will be alot of new stuff to see/hear. new pics and new specs would be great in the next week or so.

It's entirely likely that the Bionic that's eventually released will look different though as this was originally slated to be a completely different phone.
It seems there are at least 6 people on this thread already looking to give up the D1 for the Bionic. I hope it comes with an unlocked bootloader, because my D1 is now running 4x as fast as it formal Froyo build and I would be hoping the Bionic stays relevant with updates as deep in its lifetime.
An unlocked Atrix-spec'd LTE should have most of us satisfied. And we'll live with having to buy an extended battery, if we must. Faster RAM will also be appreciated.

DX2 release notes and images are officially out as well as a release date or pre-order date. The pictures look like the "alleged" Targa images going around.

How funny would that be if we all have been oogling all over the targa pics and theyve in fact been dx2 pics from the get go... lol show your hand moto! Let us see what these form factor improvs are

There were already some Bionic cases advertised; did they have inside info or did they get stuck with an old design???
No!! The Targa looks like the original DX with chrome added. BMX said that it would be a Hybrid and More refined leading edge specs... I am still waiting for a leaked picture...
I think those cases are for the old form of the Bionic/Targa. As soon as we see a leaked picture then we will see the true cases and accessories get leaked.
