Bluetooth file transfer constantly prompting for permission

Is there any way to shut up the Bluetooth File Transfer app other than force closing it or using an app killer?

It constantly (every few minutes) asks for permission to make a bluetooth connection. No matter if I hit yes or no it will ask again shortly. I have to go in to settings>apps>manage apps and force close it to shut it up then launch it again when I actually need it.

Is this how it's supposed to work or do I have something weird going on?

Make sure you exit the application by hitting the back button until it asks if you really want to exit, or choosing the "Exit" option from the menu. Don't use the home button to leave, as it will continue to run in the background.
