I have tried searching and posted this a couple do different places but have not really heard anything. I would like to attach an external keyboard to my Droid X. I have seen several Youtube and threads on it. However, the threads suggest it is a real hit and miss process. As the threads are relatively old I was hoping perhaps the issues were resolved to some degree now. I have seen some posts weer some types of Freedom Keyboards have worked for some (but not all). I have seen some more recent threads were the Motorola Xoom keyboard was used with a Drid X successfully. I have a Verizon phone and this is sold at the Verizon store MOTMZ600KBRD. But, it was not clear to me if this was something that worked for most folks (others appear pretty spotty) or not. Does anyone have any input on this at all?

yes i can connect mine to my x. just put it in discovery mode and if ur bluetooth settings finds connect it and should be good. maybe not all keyboards work. mine is logitech mx5000

Thanks. Is this a rare thing to do? I have not seen many posts and think it would be a great thing to have for the X.

I just bought a bluetooth keyboard and I received it a few days ago. It is the Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard 6000. Buy.com had it on sale for $29 with free shipping. I think it's back up around $40 now.

It paired up easily and on the first try. It think the tricky part was entering the code first into the X (I picked 1234) and then immediately into the keyboard. I only tried the keyboard out for a few minutes so I can't say how it does over time. But I was happy that it worked fine out of the box.
