BOOOOM!!! Unboxing of HTC Incredible!

This is honestly the first thread/review/video/etc for any new phone I've looked at since getting my Droid. I just never really see the point. I'm not going to go out and replace my new phone, so it would only serve to drive me crazy about what I "could have". I'm the same way with all big purchases though (car, tv, etc... once I pick one, I stick with it and don't bother continuing to look). That said, I sauntered into this thread and skimmed through most of the vid. Looks neat and pretty slick, but I'm still satisfied with my choice at the time for Droid. We'll see what's out there in 2 years...
just a little advice....don't read the forums at all after 4/29 :)

ROFL!!! Too funny!

Freakin Classic.. LoL..

Rather any HTC release.. There will be many my friend.. Especially this year and the next.. The snapdragon on this is already a higher one than the N1.. Which is capable of 1.3 then:

Future products

Qualcomm expects to launch two products in 2010[13]:

  • 8X50A: 1.3 GHz; 45 nanometer technology; available in endproducts at the end of 2010
  • 8X72: dual-core, each core clocked at 1.5 GHz; capable of decoding 1080p
Qualcomm also announced the MSM7x30 (MSM7230 for GSM and MSM7630 for CDMA). These chips are based on the same Scorpion processor as the Snapdragon, but with 5.1 channel sound and more powerful graphics[14], like 720p high-definition video encode/decode at 30 frames per second and 12-megapixel camera support. This is possibly related to Qualcomm buying the handheld graphics department of AMD[15]. It is currently unknown if these processors will be branded as Snapdragon.
So....

CDMA seems to have the upper hand on 5.1 surround and the higher FULL HD Devices coming.. Hmm.. Nice choice Google.. Verizon will never you alone.. Never do dirt..

They want business just as you do.. :icon_ banana:

So, is it true that you cannot disable Sense?

Yes.. this was stopped since the Desire.. I had the Nexus for a while and I helped in the early stages for Desire on Nexus as the forum on android.modoco.com.. It was crazy from A1-A5.. We we're all there.. Dev.. Forum, mini-devs, Jesus, mini-devs.. LoL..

Ever since we could always disable.. Then the full port came and that was done.. It finished, finito.. Wonder why..?

Then the incredible is the same.. :) Its, cool.. no biggie..

Since you can't disable, will developers still be able to create and burn custom ROM's, like on the Droid? Or is this going to limit that ability.

It is strange they disabled turning it off. Not that I would since I've lost so much time keeping up with hacking phones, LOL.

I think I'll be enjoying my Droid for another year and then going to something we've never imagined yet... :)
