Great stuff as always. And not sure how I missed it but the Dr. Strangelove one is amazing, love it!

quick question. i just flashed a stock rom. which is 4.4 from source. it has the old school stock boot animation from the g1 days that just says android. how would i go about saving that somewhere so i can flash back to it at a later date? i like switching them around, but i also like the oem ness of this one.

is it stored somewhere i can just pull it out and save to using root explorer? then move it back later. since i doubt it would be flashable like these are.

the 4.0.3/4 ROM installer puts the boot animation file in the data/local directory.. this leaves the og (ROM) boot in the system/media folder alone.

Navigate to data/local directory and delete the bootanimation.zip file.. that will play the original bootanimation.zip file located in system/media folder..

the more complicated way:

If you point me (link me) to the ROM you are using I can extract the boot animation and put it in a flash file that you can reinstall later.

no need for all that work. I flashed one then went to data/local deleted it and it reverted. so that's cool with me.

Thanks
