Brand new X random reboots (stock)

Ive found that afyer rooting and flashing a rom, u dont over heat. I think the stock roms cause overheating cuz theres so much extra stuff on there for the phone to deal with. I'm on gingerbread rooted right now. And I get some heating issues. But once a rom comes out, ill be able to test out my assumption. GG CM7

Exact same deal

referb phone works like a dream when it's on. I got it out of the box today and it has rebooted twice during acall about 5 times when I wasnt even touching it and once or twice in my hand mid game. I love it and I want to fix it. But if it randomly reboots when its not being touched its either broken the os is crashing. I'm just glad reboot takes 2min.atm I'm try ing to force a reboot.I'm mid cal l running wifi browsing and tilting sporadically. I may try to mod . Any advice is appreciated .

Call is going 44 min strong on and off speaker. battery temp is 38 degrees estimated bruiser speeds are sweet!..

I'm stumpped .

I had this same reboot problem. Even got a replacement phone & that still did it. I turned off auto rotate and now it doesn't ever reboot.

VICTORY!
Amazing! Yesterday was a cold rainy day spent hiding in my room with my laptop and droid. GOODBYE STOCK OS!
so far I love gingerbread. no restarts. better battery life by far.
Love not having random apps installed by verizon without my downloading them. My sd card is in. my processing speeds are great no lag no freezes.

I found on the stock os these things made my phone unstable:
+Sd cards (blank & formatted)
+Auto rotate
+Calls where only the phone feature of the phone of actively bring used
+ leaving phone alone (not running apps, games, or music)
-locking the phone

so far no trace of the old problems
