When open up a web browser on my Droid I get the following error.

Reference error: gp is not defined.

I click ok and everything works fine. Any suggestions?

Never heard of that one, are you rooted?

Nope. I did update manually to 2.2 though. I dont think that has anything to do with it because it just started happening today.

What is your browser home page set to / what is the URL in the address bar? Could just be a JavaScript error on that page. (Hopefully it is.) If you reboot the phone does it still happen?

Well I don't know what it was but I just deleted/cleared my history, cache, and cookies and everything seems to be good now.

By the way, I really like dolphin hd as my browser. It has tabs and let's you set the user agent to desktop/computer so you're not stuck with mobile sites.

I just started to get this error as well. I am rooted and using lithium mod.

Here is a screenshot.

How do you set your browser to desktop/computer and it won't come up as a mobile sites?

In dolphin hd just go into browser settings and change your User Agent to Desktop. In the stock browser there's a way to do it but the setting doesn't stick in the stock version.

As far as the error message, I think it is just a JavaScript error. Perhaps a .js file didn't load properly. Clear cache and try again.

Thanks all, clearing cashe worked for me.

In browser: Menu, Settings, Clear Cashe.

Droid 1, stock browser, rooted, Cyanogen 6.1.2
