I am trying to have a link in an android browser open the native android facebook app to a specifc facebook fan page based on page ID. I can accomplish this in iOS using their custom fb url scheme (fb://page/{ID} ).
It appears the functionality is somewhat in place with the new native android FB app as I can get the FB app to open using a similar link structure but it does not open up the actual fan page. It opens some sort of news feed for the fan page which does not contain a like button for the user to click (my whole goal in driving them to the facebook app). Is anyone aware how I can open an actual fan page in the app via a link in the browser that contains a like button?
I do not want the user to have had to download anythign prior to this working other than the FB app obvisouly. It needs to run purely in the browser.
