I see my phone icon on the contacts thing if you click on a persons name. Looks ok to me.

What we are talking about is the pop-up when you click on a contact shortcut, the popup does not come up when you click on a contact's name, try clicking on a contact's avatar and see if the phone icon appears in the pop-up along with the icons for messaging, contacts, email, etc.

on the popup, I'm seeing the generic android icon instead of the phone icon as well.

and the & not showing right on the keyboard doesn't happen on Fabolous's GB keyboard in the droid apps section, but then you don't get the skinned keyboard if you are into that.

Mine's the same. I usually don't click there, so wouldn't have noticed.

I haven't seen the ampersand issue yet, but I haven't looked for it either.

I am hesitant to update quite yet from 2.3. I just noticed on 2.3 that if you are looking at the inbox of an exchange account, the icons that pop up under the menu button don't seem to match their functions.

The Compose button looks like it would be a "delete contact" button based on the graphic. Also the Refresh button graphic looks like a key image. Does this occur on the 2.4 version?

Gestures

Not sure if its a bug or not but noticed this with gestures on 2.3 and 2.4. I have 3 gestures set up to unlock my phone. One simply unlocks phone, another unlocks phone and opens Handsent, and the third unlocks phone and opens gmail. All work fine. I have the unlock buttons disabled. If i swipe from left to right as if I were using the unlock slider it will unlock phone and open handsent. If I swipe down, it unlocks phone and opens gmail. The gestures I created for these actions are simple but they are defiantly not straight lines. Wonder if anyone else noticed or experienced this issue.

Edit: I deleted the gesture and re-entered them for both and that seams to have solved the problem.

I wonder if i do. I noticed I can't find my location with GPS or the mobile network. I have to manually enter zip codes. And my signal strength is low too. Noticed this with 2.3 also. It does have the latest base band though. So i don't get it.

Dockbar and apps

Not sure if this is a bug or user error, but does anyone know how to change the shortcuts on the dock? I accidentally put the messaging app over the applications list icon don't know how to reverse it.

had that to me as well, luckily i had LP installed and was able to get that goin through app settings to get it going, but didnt find a way to reverse it. camera works but not camcorder for me, when i try to change the settings the sliders just pop up and vanish with a mind of their own and cant change them anyway.
