Bug Thread for 2.4.0

Hey guys I don't know if anyone has posted this already but since I've flashes ud 2.4 I have no vibration when I receive a text message. I've set it to vibrate always, I've also rebooted and did a battery pull and still no fix. It sucks cuz I keep my phone on vibrate most of the time because of my job.

Your problem might be in ultimate settings. I don't know which overrides which. Makes it confusing. You have your app, your built in android settings, and UD's ultimate settings. No one ever mentioned the hierarchy. So make them all the same.

I've been having issues with my WiFi disconnecting and not being able to reconnect until rebooting the phone. This hadn't happened in the past, not even with UD 2.3. I'm wondering if it is UD 2.4 related or if it is just something on my end. I thought I recalled someone else saying something about a similar problem in another post, but I can't remember which one it might have been in.

I've had it happen too. Just with 2.4. I just usually uncheck wifi and then recheck it though

This happened to me before. It happened only the first time sending the photo after installing the ROM and then it worked fine. Which reminds me to test it out now since i've flashed the ROM again.

Sometimes my sd card does not mount or it dismounts by itself and I can't remount it. Please any fix if possible...

I dont know if its shown up for anyone else.. my GPS still works, but when I try to get GPS directions somewhere, I get nothing but "searching for GPS" and the directions never load. I tried my wifes Droid (unrooted) and there were no issues getting a GPS signal or getting the directions. I dont think I had this issue in 2.3.0.. anyone else?

Adw is force closing more with 2.4 for me. Also having problems with widgets not loading at times but will re-appear after quick reboot or turning off screen for a few min. Annoying at times but def not a deal breaker.

UD 2.4 has waaaay tooooomany bugs. I went back to 2.1 cause it worked the best for me, and as I've said before I loved the camcorder zoom, and 2.1 is the only rom that had that option. I will probably try 2.5 when it comes out and see what it has to offer......

I'm Surprised to see so many bugs,I stayed on 2.1 for a long time because of all the bugs but I haven't had a single issue with 2.4 yet. I've been running since release day.

I wish it were that easy for me to fix, but it isn't. Now my WiFi doesn't work at all, whether i disable and re-enable WiFi or reboot the phone.

I tried reflashing UD 2.4 and that didn't work, then I switched from Chevy's ulv1.1GHz kernel to the LFY SLV1.1GHz kernel and that didn't work either. Looks like the next step is to do a full wipe, and I might as well wait for UD 2.5 to come out first. I hope that fixes the problem though because I really miss having WiFi :/

Spoke too soon, camera wouldn't let me back out or go to home screen, had to battery pull. Any way to flash in a stock Froyo camera? the one with the focus on the corners.I really hate the one with the focus point in the center.

I have had that problem ever since a maps update a while back, maybe the one that added walking directions? Not sure but at least since April of this year. This was when I still ran stock eclair. It takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r for navigation to get my position and give the directions. Just says "searching for GPS satellites" or whatever. It doesn't take that long in any other apps to get a gps fix and report my gps location, just in navigation.

Not sure if this is a bug or something special to me that I've created. Since installing 2.4, when I reboot and wait for everything to load, if i launch the app launcher, all of my apps aren't in the list and everything freezes, presumably while it loads the rest, then I get a not responding box and I choose wait and then everything comes back and is fine. Was going to try wipe and flash but figured I would just wait for 2.5 first.

The zipalign_apks command does not seem to work correctly.....says zipalign not found after every app. I tried mounting the system r/w before and after the command also has permission allowed in superuser.

My camera flashes like crazy rendering it useless. I had this problem with 2.0 also. The okcupid app also force closes when I go to options. Had that problem with 2.0 also. Neither problem with 0.8
