calendar entries not deleting

on my vzw droid - running 2.1 update - whenever i try to delete a recurring event - gives you the option to delete all or just this one event - nothing happens. the event still appears i n the calendar. i have tried to delete the entire series, just the one, you name it - no deletion. any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. Have you found a solution to the problem?
