Can I put a blank SD card in my Droid 2?

Is there anything that can happen if I just format my SD card in my computer, then put it in the DROID 2? I know I know, you can format it in the OS through settings, unmounting the card... The problem is that I already reset all other data so it wants me to log in and activate the phone again which I can't do. I am shipping the phone out to someone...

Can I just put a blank micro sd card in there and it will recognize it and "format" it accordingly or set it up automatically...?

I you put a blank sd cad in the phone its just going to formate the card to the phone putting what its designed to on the card so if thats what your asking then yes throw it in there your not going to hurt anything at all
