Can I still receive calls when tethering?

yes you will not have internet while on the call though or while its ringing

its a limitation with the current vzw network but it will not be that way when the 4g systems roll out but then again that wont help the droid either since it wont run on the 4g

What about the other way around: if i'm browsing the internet while tethering, and someone calls me, what will happen? My phone will not ring at all?

In my experience it cuts off your internet to allow the call through. For example, when I listen to iheartradio via 3G the broadcast will be interrupted when I get a text message even..

yup basically like the old days of dialup!
ah the good old days

but yea you will get the calls and stuff but you lose net everytime you get one sms messages i think still come through though without breaking it or its a small enough break that it shouldnt be noticed

Pandora appears to cache the current song so a brief drop in internet access doesn't interrupt the music.
This. Depending on how much a particular program caches...I don't believe you can even text during internet access. Texts are sent using 1X if I'm not mistaken...
