Can someone please help?

Did Veizon send the ringtone via text message? If so, open the message and "longpress" on the ringtone file...a box should pop up asking you what you want to do with the file...Set as Ringtone should be 1 of the options...select it.
Yes, as a text...but longpress is not working :(

nope, longpress didn't work. I opened up the ringtone, the only thing there is a triangle to play the ringtone. I longpressed, all it did was play the ringtone. Uggggh I hate this phone!

Its not the phone's fault. Do you use handcent or stock messaging?

yes, handcent

Go to Androzip and look in the download folder and it should be there. Longpress it and select move. Then hit back until you're back to your sd card root (default screen when Androzip is opened). Open your media folder and open ringtone folder and then hit move here.

There is nothing in the download folder. when I clicked the droid button it asked if I wanted to copy to my sd card. I said yes, but it's not in the download folder. I did a search on Androzip and this file is not there at all..

I hate this phone. I had my blackberry and everything was so simple! With this stupid phone, you have to download apps to get things to work. It's ridiculous!! HATE IT!

Ok. Did you already look in the handcent/download folder?

Again, its not the phone. After this though, you can just get a free ringtone app for ringtones (just as easy as going to mytinyphone.

I DONT WANT A FREE RINGTONE! I want the one from verizon! If its' a Verizon phone, it shouldn't be this difficult to download the damn ringtones. This phone is way too high maintenance! I hate it! Yes, It's the phone. Again, if I had my blackberry, I wouldn't be jumping through hoops to get a ringtone to set that was sent to me!

That is the thing. I dont see a handcent folder. This phone is way too high maintenance for me. It should never be brain surgery to set a ringtone!

If you still can't get it take it in to a local verizon wireless agent. They can help you figure it out, or you can get a non-smartphone. Multimedia phone might be the way to go for you.
