Can't create a playlist in the Motorola music app

I've been using the music player included on the Razr for music. It's nice to use for wireless syncing and playing music, though I don't use it to stay constantly connected to my computer. Anyway, I tried creating a playlist in it, but it just stalls on a "creating playlist" message endlessly, even if I add as little as one song. Why can't I add a playlist in this?
