Can't get black market to stay black, keeps reverting to sock market theme

When using black market, I always wind up getting updates and free on my apps section. I have removed data and cache several times. It corrects the issue for awhile and then reverts back to my apps getting eliminated or changed back to free. I am tempted to return to the green version. Any suggestions?

What version is your Market? Needs to be 2.2.11.

Check it the same way you wipe data/cache, should be at the top left in

settings/application/manage applications/all tab and Market.

NB,
Under my apps in market, the listing doesn't say installed or update-but rather ' free' instead. I also only get a partial listing. When I clear cache & data, it will return to the proper listing for awhile, but then revert back to the above. As noted I have the 2.2.11 version.

Did you rename your original vending.apk?

I didn't :p he shouldn't have needed to...but in this case, it may be worth a try....rename it, reinstall the Black Market update...see if this solves the issue...
It sounds more like an issue on the account though, rather than the market...

Rename it to what? As I recall, I believe I read something about changing something to the vending.apk file in the system/app folder. How do I revert back to the original green market without having to use bootstrap and/or recover?

Ok, you have root explorer right? Try this:
Open Root Explorer
Navigate to your DS install zip
Open it, go into system/app (within the zip) find vendor.apk
Extract it.
Go to sdcard/extracted
Copy vendor.apk
Go to system/app
Find vendor.apk
Rename to vendor.bak
Paste
Change permissions to match the others in system/app
Reboot
Now you should have the first Black Market (2.2.7) and it should auto update...bringing you to the green market (2.2.11)

But, as I stated previously- I suggest you try renaming the vendor.apk to vendor.bak and then reinstall the Black Market...this will reinstall the market, hopefully resolving your issues.

Will try first you're last paragraph by renaming and re-installing the market. If unsuccessful will follow you're other instructions and report back to you. Thanks nb.

Okay, renamed the vender.apk file and used recover to re-install the black market app. All apps are listed normally. Will see how long it lasts. Fingers x'd. Ta!

Many thanks to chkmate & nattybee for your help in curing my Market problem. One day later and were still good. The re-install & vending.apk change did the trick. Kudos to both!
