Can't get into recovery

My Droid won't boot into recovery. I've tried the manual boot (X + Power button), Reboot into Recovery (ROM Manager), Flash Alternate Recovery, as well as reboot apps. It will show the Motorola "M" for a minute or two, then go into the normal boot.

Can anyone help?

Try powering off the phone. Take battery out for 30 secs. Power the phone back on holding Y and power button at the same time. Hope that works.

It has been suggested to flash alternate recovery/clockwork mod recovery and back and forth a couple of times consecutively. Worked for me...
