yeah your right, i was looking later in the steps. it all looks right to me but makes no sense why its not working...weird

Thanks... I'll give that a shot. Don't know why I didn't try that yet...

EDIT
I've rebooted and tried it again a couple of times, and it has made no difference.

and you started back from step 1 again?

I've rebooted and started from the beginning a few times now.

If you still need the password, it is on this page, in Step 2 option C
You also can try the steps in Step 2 option A as well. The steps are basically the same, but you don't need to use the sdk or adb shell.

You say it isn't working. Is there an error? What tells you it is not working? If you type each of those steps and get no errors then it could be you aren't waiting long enough. That bin file needs to run for a bit. Walk away for a while if you aren't.

Thanks, Abe... I appreciate it. I'll give this method a shot.

No matter what I do, I CANNOT get my phone to connect in PC Mode with USB Debugging, and it doesn't show up in the devices list when in Charge Only mode.

Go back to my previous post in this thread. There is a link with instructions where you don't have to connect your phone to your computer. Same files get used but you can just download them directly to your phone, and go through the steps.

I've tried that method as well, but if you'll read the entire thread:

"Well, I made it to the "./rage*.bin" step, and it ended up with:
[-] Cannot find adb: No such file or directory"

That method is not working for me. :/

I'm not sure how or why, but after turning my phone on and trying again this morning, the ADB-free method worked.

It seems that I'm not the only person around here who has this issue; it may be worthwhile for someone a little more knowledgeable about Android to look into this.
